Ok, Now Back to Music! Head of the Herd cover Johnny Cash.

"25 Minutes to go" is one of the greatest songs of Johnny Cash. Pearl Jam have also covered this song live.
However, there is something about the way that Head of the Herd build the song... especially when the Harmonica comes in...

Oia,Santorini Island, Greece: Atlantis Books

Santorini is an amazing, almost magical island. Oia is one of the most beautiful traditional villages located into the volcanic-rock cliffs. Atlantis Bookstore is located in a basement of one of Santorini’s white houses. I am very lucky that I can actually spend one or two weeks every summer visiting this place on vacation. I will post some photos taken recently from this small bookstore that was mentioned on an article on NY Times and it was picked as No 1 Bookshop  by the Guardian's Jeremy Mercer:

Here he chooses his 10 favourite bookshops from around the world."Bookstores are sanctuaries. Places to lose yourself, escape the harsh demands of daily life, find new ways to dream and new sources of inspiration. I love all booksellers; anybody who helps spread the word is doing noble work. But my favourite bookstores are the small eccentric independents run by passionate and usually slightly mad book lovers. These are some of the best."

1. Atlantis Books, Oia, Santorini Island, Greece

This is a dream of a bookstore. Perched on the cliffs of this volcanic island in a postcard-worthy Greek villa, it's run by an international collective of artists, writers and activists. As well as organizing theatre and open-air cinema, they set up programs such as the 'book donkey', which brings books to the local schools. I'll be living beside Atlantis for the first four months of 2006 to work on my next book.

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats: “Son of a bitch! Get me a drink!”

My Friend Heather Browne over the years has introduced many great artists & bands!
She has one of best music blogs called I am FUEL you are FRIENDS.
Lately I was stuck with this amazing artist Nathaniel Rateliff. He has a new album out and you can actually listen to the full album on his official website.
Below are a few videos to convince you that this man's GOT SOUL!

The Last American Valentine

FOREWORD
These are love poems. Yikes!
The traffic, the television, the wrong city, the noise of failure can turn us cynical to the gross sap of blatant affection. This book is a fresh tackle towards love.
Come at this book quiet and ready. Come at this book with un-sarcastic amazement for that melancholy, drifting and striking feeling, whether you have it, want it, need it or wonder about it. This book is a one-of-a kind mash: a mash–up of amazing artists known and unknown with brilliant authors that I am honored to serve.
This book of romantic poems and illustrations was meant for you to read to or give to someone. If you bought it for yourself, give it to someone woo-able when you are done. This project made me notice how drawings or photographs transformed the mood of the news articles I read.
It enhanced the mood like music to a film. The poems selected were chosen for spirit or a stab at being brutally sultry. It was intended to be read by all glittering chest throbbers.
This collection will live beyond Valentine’s day due to the generous authors and artists who poured such quality toward this project. When I used to think of Valentines day, I’d think of the old American gangland
massacre, lonely stress and hollow chocolate.
This book is better than a teddy bear holding a heart.

THE QUIET WORLD
by Jeffrey McDaniel

In an effort to get people to look
into each other’s eyes more,
the government has decided to allot
each person exactly one hundred
and sixty-seven words, per day.
When the phone rings, I put it
to my ear without saying hello.
In the restaurant I point
at chicken noodle soup. I am
adjusting well to the new way.
Late at night, I call my long
distance lover and proudly say
I only used fifty-nine today.
I saved the rest for you.
When she doesn’t respond, I know
she’s used up all her words
so I slowly whisper I love you,
thirty-two and a third times.
After that, we just sit on the line
and listen to each other breathe.

NICK CAVE GLASTONBURY 2013

Wish I was there...one of the best moments of this year's festival.
Also a good example of why the Bad Seeds are considered a great Band!
Wow.

Can't find a Betterman...

For those who like sing-a longs... Betterman live in Athens!

First Post/Intro - Black live in Athens

As a first post I would like to start with my favorite group PJ.
Video is taken from their only concert (so far) in Athens Greece on 30 Sept 2006.
Amazing concert, great band and one of the best songs of their career :
